I built this
As a generalist I had to search hard to find jobs for me in the startup world. I don't fit the usual categories: Marketing, sales, engineering, design, product, people.
So I built this: Jobs for Generalists in Innovation, Startups and Tech
Startup and Innovation Programs I've run
- Zip Innovation Labs (internal)
- Monash University Accelerator 2021
- Lean Startups at University of Sydney (award-winning course)
- Smart Waste Hackathon (Smart Cities)
- Future Minds Accelerator (EdTech)
- Coca-Cola Amatil X Academy, Indonesia (Internal Capability)
- Stockland Accelerator (PropTech)
- SheStarts (Women Founders)
- Coca-Cola Amatil Xcelerate
- Coca-Cola Amatil Xcelerate (Scale-ups)

FAQ
What's with the name Metal Monkey Infinity?
I needed to set up a company to get paid.
I didn't want a crappy name that was trying too hard.
("A portmanteau of *creative* and *innovation* -- Creannovativion! Can you believe we got the dot-com??")
I was born in the year of the Monkey, in the Metal cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Cheeky monkeys are my spirit animal. So Metal Monkey sounded good.
But there are *lots* of companies with that name -- presumably also founded by people born in 1980. So it needed a suffix.
The thought of Metal Monkey Unlimited Limited made me smile, but thought I'd get in trouble for having "unlimited" in the name of a limited liability company.
So, Metal Monkey Infinity Ltd. Cheeky, fun, but gets the job done.
I can't believe I got the dot-com.What's with the weird email address?
What, pitiful-black-alligator@startupbook.xyz?
That was randomly generated by a super-cool tool called MailTumble ID. I got to be one of the very first users because I was advising them when they developed it.
This website is the only place I'll use that email address. MailTumble gives me the ability to kill that address if it gets too spammy, and I can just generate a new one.
